Established in 1987, Toda Construction (Shanghai), Ltd., was the first Japanese construction company to form a local affiliate in the Shanghai area. Furthermore, since 1994, Toda Corp. has held a license (qualification) allowing it to engage directly in construction work in Shanghai and Jiangsu.
