High Grip Anchor Segments

Overview

High Grip Anchor Segments are shield segments that enable fastening between rings by the pushing force of shield jacks by placing single-headed anchor joints (High Grip Anchor Joints) consisting of anchor materials and receiving members between the rings.
The high-grip anchor joint is a joint inserts shaft members with slits into a tapered and drilled hole in advance on the receiving joint member to expand the tip (rectangular part) due to the wedging effect of the cone section to provide high fastening force. Advantages

  • The one-touch joint structure reduces the segment assembly time.
  • High fastening force can be obtained due to its strong pull-out resistance.
  • The segments are designed to eliminate the need for secondary lining, which eliminates the need for filling of bolt boxes and improves the smoothness of the inner surface.
  • Since the segmental joints are not exposed on the inner surface of the segments, rust prevention treatment is not required.
  • Cost reduction can be expected by omitting the bolt box filling work, the construction period will be shortened and the equipment costs, etc. will be reduced.
