Waveguide LAN System

Overview

Developed wireless LAN system for building constructions

The digitalization of work sites is progressing, and the amount of communication is increasing day by day due to the increase in large volume data represented by BIM (Building Information Modeling), image data, IoT compatible construction equipment, and sensor devices used for inspections. There has been a growing need for a wireless LAN environment in which mobile devices and IoT equipment can be easily connected. In order to solve the following issues, we have constructed a "Waveguide LAN System."

Advantages

  • i. It uses a wireless LAN, so you can save on communication charges.
  • ii. This system can be installed in vertical spaces such as stair openings, pipe shafts, and duct spaces, and can be easily laid and disassembled by using a general-purpose steel pipe clamps.
  • iii. There is no need to install devices such as wireless LAN access points and hubs on each floor, no need to install power supplies, and no need to make devices waterproof and dustproof. To expand the communication range, all you need to do is to add a steel pipe and an antenna unit, which can be easily expanded as the construction progresses, and can be used for underground floors and high-rise floors.
  • vi. "Waveguide LAN system" uses steel pipes, common materials at construction sites, to reduce infrastructure development costs.
  • v. The use of a steel pipe instead of LAN cable wiring eliminates the risk of wire breakage and makes the system robust, making it suitable for installation at construction sites. It also reduces maintenance costs.
